    Food Facts...

    • Starchy foods give us the energy we need to work and play all day.
    • Athletes want lots of starch in their diets to keep them going for longer!
    • Fruit and vegetables are brimming with fibre, vitamins and minerals which are all important for you to eat as they help you to fight off illness and stay healthy!
    • Fish is a great source of protein and contains essential vitamins and minerals. It's great for our health and can reduce heart disease.
    • We should all try to eat less fatty and sugary foods. But its not all bad because fat allows vitamins A, D, E and K through your body! Remember to eat sparingly though (not too much!) and try to eat healthier foods instead!
    • Don't add salt to your food. The chances are there is already enough in what you're eating!
    • Breakfast is a very important meal. It gives us energy to start the day and can provide important nutrients too!

    • Always keep food items covered up
    • Always store cooked and raw foods separately
